I am sharing my experience.
I am sharing my experience. It has taken me a bit over a year to do so because I wanted to give this place a fair chance. However, I feel it’s really crucial for others to know what they might be getting into. I was really eager to have my liposuction, thinking it would be a great way to lose those stubborn pounds that just wouldn't go away. My time at Sono Bello turned out to be a terrible choice; I need everyone to be aware of the awful ordeal I faced with their liposuction. I was accepted for the surgery, thinking I only had to spend $8000 and I would be slim and pleased. well, one year later and it is still a nightmare. Not only has the weight not come off, but the swelling is terrible. During the procedure, the doctor didn’t give me any medication. I felt every bit of it; my stomach never numbed. I felt them cutting through all of my tissue. I was crying and writhing on the table, and halfway through the surgery, the doctor finally gave me a Lortab 7.5 to help with the intense pain. The doctor seemed unaware of how much pain I was in because he was too busy chatting with someone about random stuff that had nothing to do with me or my health needs, as if it was perfectly normal for him to see people suffering that much. I usually handle pain well; I gave birth to a 9-pound baby without meds, and I can honestly say this pain was just as bad. It was so awful that they had to stop and could not finish what they were meant to do. I was supposed to have work done on my upper, middle, lower, pelvic area, hips, and waist. They never got to my hips and waist. At one point during the surgery, I remember crying and thinking this must be what torture feels like. I couldn’t believe that even though I was thrashing around and in so much pain, they continued with my stomach. For weeks after, I kept waking up in the night crying because it felt like I was still being tortured by the pain. When I went back for a follow-up, my stomach was still super swollen and I could barely touch it. When I showed the nurse my stomach, her eyes nearly popped out! She rushed out to get the head nurse to look at it too. They both said they’d never seen a stomach look like mine. After all this, I still didn't get to see the doctor who did my procedure; it was just two nurses. A couple of weeks later, I ended up in the ER because the pain and swelling were unbearable! The ER doctor said they needed to do a CT scan to see if my organs were damaged. Luckily, that wasn’t the case. Then two months later, the pain was still awful, and I ended up back in the ER again. They did another CT scan, and all the doctors were shocked by my situation; they looked at my stomach and said it looked like a hamburger. It was terrible, and many said it could be medical malpractice. After all this, I received a text from the lady who handled the loan approval saying we needed to schedule a time to finish my liposuction since they couldn't complete it because I was in so much pain. I told her there was no way I would ever put my body through that again. She then said, “It won’t be the same doctor, and the other doctor gives more medicine.” So, you’re telling me that I didn’t receive proper care because I had a bad doctor? I am truly astonished by all the issues I have had since. A year later, and my stomach problems are still severe, with swelling in all my subcutaneous tissues being off the charts! Please, please do not get liposuction thinking it will be just a little pain. It is not a day at the spa like they claim. The pain is the worst you can imagine, and after a year, I’m still suffering with no results, plus I’m in debt for $8000.
