Stay away

I’m taking Health Tech Academy to court. *** tried to pressure me into removing my review in exchange for a refund. I did get my money back, but that doesn’t undo the wasted time, stress, and false promises. I’m suing for the damage they caused — no school should silence students instead of fixing their program.

Awesome SCHOOL!

Awesome SCHOOL! I could learn at my own speed. They have mentors you can book for help and to answer any questions about the material. I just completed my course with HTA for Surgical Tech and I'm ready to start my clinicals!! super happy!! strongly suggest if you prefer a self-paced approach

Aafia handled my student services! She was really great, no doubt about it. She was so friendly and answered all my questions. I was grateful for her patience and kindness throughout the orientation. She made sure to explain everything I needed to start and what to anticipate later on.

The team here is really friendly and they helped me a lot when I had problems getting into the Course Based Simulations. The counselor at HTA worked with the ebook publishers to fix the issue. It took a couple of tries, but it wasn't too hard. I'm enjoying it so far.. looking ahead!!

The onboarding with the program has been smooth so far, no issues. One thing I liked was the number of mentors ready to assist. After completing this program, I plan to get my certification and look for a job.

Biggest Scam!!

Hands down the biggest scam! I started this program in April 2025. Everything was great in the beginning! I was promised a fair tuition and availability of all of the resources with the staff. Within the first 24 hours, there were problems already. I was told a different tuition amount that varied almost $750 from the first day that I signed up. I immediately called back and They did rectify the tuition. I also received my contract agreement which stated they will not have authorization to auto draft my account. Within a week, they made an illegal draft on my account and refused to cover the bank fees! Further, the end of the same month, you guessed it, they drafted again! I was furious! I called them back and was given the runaround. I sent several emails to address my concern too. Waited over a week and no one responded. I finally called back and spoke to **** and finance. She was rude, condescending, and standoffish. She finally realized the error, and claimed that she fixed the system to no longer auto draft. Also, she refused to cover any of the bank overdraft fees. Over the next two months, I had a total of four unauthorized drafts! With me still being in the program, There was little I could do to change my debit card information. I had several hundred dollars in accumulated overdraft fees. Once again, **** refused to help out with any of the fees. I did complete my program and receive my certification. About a week later, I was greeted with an email from **** stating I still owed money! I went to my bank and spent over two hours. They are gathering all of my receipts. I submitted it all to her and she further debated and stated that The modified tuition was not valid! I had to spend another hour gathering documents and emails from **** who works in admission at ****. So I was able to substantiate everything! One week later, as you can guess it, they illegally drafted my account. I had to contact my bank and have them Rever the charge. Within two weeks from that, I received another email stating that I owed almost $2000! This amount is even more than the original tuition claim! I responded by email that it was an accurate. However, as usual, no response. This afternoon, I noticed another illegal draft of $263! I contacted our family attorney, gathered information for a civil judgment to recoup all of these fees, and also had to contact my bank and establish a fraud claim. When I went to take my national board exam, they informed me that **** has lost their accreditation to allow students to Take the national board before they have completed their clinic hours in surgical technology. This was a falsehood that was promised to me through ****. I had to jump through so many hoops to get my national licensure. Avoid this company at all costs!
