I recently purchased a new car and attempted to add it to our existing policy. However, after being on hold for an excessive 2 hours with no answer, I opted for a call back which never came. Frustrated, I initiated a new policy online for the new car, costing $437 for full coverage. After five days, I finally reached someone, waited 45 minutes, and merged the policies, with the assurance of a refund in about 7 days.
However, it has been a full two weeks with no refund. I've been calling for the past four days, enduring hours on hold before even speaking to a person, and the promised call back never arrived. To add insult, they sent a bill claiming I owe $186 and threatening to cancel my policy. This experience raises serious concerns about their customer service and ability to handle essential matters promptly. If I can't get through for a refund, how would I report an accident? The overall handling of this situation is unacceptable.
