    Got picked up at the

    Got picked up at the airport and whisked away to get our car, all in no time. When it was time to head back, it was just as smooth. Dropped our bags at the airport, returned the car to the rental spot, and they quickly took us to the departures area. Super fast and convenient service.

    Lanzarote is so hot! The roads are long with stunning mountains and scenery. Renting a convertible was great for enjoying the surroundings. I'm happy with my car rental. It was a fancy experience with the car.

    We had quite an adventure trying to find the right rental car place. The booking confirmation said something about "aercar," and we were scratching our heads, looking for CarTrawler all over the airport. It was pretty confusing, running around with our luggage and asking folks where to go. Eventually, someone clued us in that we actually needed to look for "Aercar," not CarTrawler. That little detail threw us off and ate up a good chunk of our time. Once we finally found the right place, things went smoother, but that initial mix-up was a bit of a hassle. It would’ve been nice if the instructions were clearer from the start.

    Everything smooth and easy

    Every month, I find myself back at this rental spot, mainly because of CJ Bogner. CJ's just got that knack for making everything smooth and easy, ya know? The shuttle drivers? Super helpful, always ready to lend a hand with bags or directions. Returning the car is a breeze, no hassle at all. They've got a pretty solid range of cars too, good value for what you pay. But those fees, man, they catch me off guard every time. Getting hit with two different Customer Facility Fees totaling more than the rental itself? That's a bit much. But all in all, the experience is worth it thanks to the staff.

    Really frustrating experience overall

    I recently rented a car through Car Trawler and picked it up from Alamo. Everything seemed fine at first, but then I noticed they double charged me and took a deposit that I’d already paid in the Car Trawler agreement. Tried to get it sorted, but no clear timeline for the refund. Even got a call back, but it was in German, and I couldn’t understand a thing. Car Trawler couldn’t help much either. Feels like I’m stuck in limbo with no answers. Really frustrating experience overall. Wouldn't recommend if you want a hassle-free rental.

    Went in thinking I might regret it 'cause the price was too good to be true. But it turned out pretty solid! The car itself was in great shape, and dropping it off was a breeze. The staff? Really friendly and helpful. Only downside was the pickup—it took forever. We waited over an hour in the blazing sun, which was brutal. But considering there was no wait when we returned the car, I’m guessing it was just a fluke. Overall, way better than I expected for the price. Would've been perfect if not for that long wait at the start.

    Booking was a breeze and the price was awesome. The only hiccup was finding the shuttle to the rental company since it was off-site. I wandered around a bit and finally asked a tour operator for directions. Once I got to the right spot, everything else went smooth. The rental process itself was quick and straightforward. Would definitely use them again despite the minor issue with the shuttle.

    Had a pretty smooth time

    Had a pretty smooth time at the rental desk, everyone there was super friendly. Drove off with the car but noticed the tire pressure was off. Brought it back, and this young guy helped us out—he checked all the tires and even gave the car a quick wash. That was above and beyond what I expected. Service was top-notch, and the staff really made us feel welcome. Definitely a great experience!

    Arrived at ENTERPRIZE desk to find it closed, but the exceptional service at the National desk saved the day. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. While the initial hiccup was inconvenient, their dedication and assistance turned the experience around, leaving us satisfied with the service received.

    I rented a car recently, and overall, it was pretty decent. The service was okay, and the car itself ran smoothly without any issues. However, one thing that really bugged me was the extra charge for winter tires. We're talking about Edmonton in the middle of winter, where winter tires aren't a luxury but a necessity. Charging an additional $20 per day for something that should be standard in such harsh weather seems a bit ridiculous to me. It felt like they were just trying to squeeze more money out of customers. Other than that, no complaints, but the winter tire fee left a sour taste.

    My experience with the company

    My experience with the company was a bit disappointin. The service at the counter could have been quicker, and I was disappointed not to be informed about the requirement to return the car clean, resulting in an unexpected 15€ charge. Additionally, the fuel policy, starting with a 1/2 full tank, proved inconvenient as I ended up leaving an extra 20€ worth of petrol.

    The experience with the company left much to be desired. The individual collecting the car displayed an alarming level of rudeness. Rain had left some mud on the vehicle, and shockingly, he attempted to label it as scratches, prompting us to manually clean and refute the false claim. Such an encounter was unprecedented in my history with service providers.

    I've rented from Fox Rental

    I've rented from Fox Rental in Denver a bunch of times and it's always been a breeze. The counter staff, especially CJ, are super friendly and helpful. And the prices are usually pretty good too. But this time around, things went south. I got double charged over $100 and dealing with their phone customer service was a nightmare. They charged me for 4 days when I only rented the car for 3, plus a bunch of extra fees that made it three times more expensive than my original reservation. It's a shame because the counter folks do such a great job, but the lousy phone support really messed things up.

    I had a rental car recently and it was kind of a mixed bag. First off, I showed up to pick up the car at the scheduled time, and it actually was ready, which was great. But then I checked the gas tank and it wasn’t full. They charged me for a full tank, though, which was pretty frustrating. I mean, if you’re gonna charge for a full tank, at least give me a full tank, right? Other than that, the car itself was in decent shape and got me where I needed to go. But seriously, they need to fix the whole gas tank situation. It’s just not cool.

    Lazy, rude, and not helpful staff at AVIS in Miami Airport. They seemed bothered and unprofessional. Waited too long, got wrong car, and it was dirty and scratched. Other companies treated me better at MIA.

    I would strongly advise against using this car rental service based on my recent experience. Unfortunately, this company’s customer service is non-existent once they have your payment. I traveled with my family, including a young child, to a foreign city late at night. When I arrived to pick up my rental car, I was told that my debit card would not be accepted, despite having received confirmation of the booking and having no prior notification about such a strict requirement. The staff was unhelpful, and no alternatives were offered. I was left stranded in an unfamiliar city with no transportation. What’s worse is the company’s complete lack of communication. I contacted customer support multiple times before my scheduled pick-up, but there was no response for three days. By the time I arrived, it was already too late to make any changes, and they refused to even try to resolve the issue, leaving me in a stressful and dangerous situation. This is not the first time I’ve rented a car, and based on my experience with many other companies, I can confidently say that any other rental service would have handled the situation better. In fact, I have rented cars from competitors who not only provided clear communication and helpful staff but also offered flexible solutions to problems that arose. This company, however, seems to be only interested in collecting your money, after which they abandon you completely. Despite my request for a partial refund, they refused, citing irrelevant rules and ignoring the fact that they failed to meet their obligations by not providing the service I had paid for. If you’re looking for a reliable company that cares about its customers, avoid this one. They only care about your money once the booking is made, and after that, you’re on your own. I’m highly disappointed by the lack of professionalism and customer care. I will never use this service again, and I encourage others to look elsewhere for car rental needs.

    I recently had a terrible experience with Cartrawler, and I'm still in shock. I booked a transfer through Emirates Transfers, which uses Cartrawler, expecting a smooth ride in Dubai. Instead, it was a nightmare. Our driver from SIXT Taxi never showed up, and it was past midnight with my family, including a toddler, stranded. Calling the SIXT hotline didn't help much either—they said the booking was "wrong" in their system. After a lot of pressure from us, they finally sent a driver, but the stress was overwhelming. I tried getting support from SIXT, and they promised a refund. But the process has been a mess, with delays and no clear answers. Eventually, SIXT passed the buck to Cartrawler, who then just stopped responding. Still waiting for my refund, and it’s been ages. The lack of responsibility from both companies is shocking. I booked through Emirates Transfers, thinking they'd be reliable, but they clearly work with untrustworthy partners. I can't recommend Cartrawler, SIXT, or Emirates Transfers to anyone. If you care about your safety and peace of mind, stay far away from these companies.

    I had a frustrating experience with Cartrawler when I booked a car for my family vacation in Phuket. I paid 760 euros for a 3-week rental in advance. Upon arriving at the rental desk after a long flight from Germany, the manager informed me they couldn’t accept my credit card for the deposit because it was originally issued as a debit card. They refused any other form of deposit, and only gave me 24 hours to sort it out. Desperate, I found another rental company that accepted cash deposits, and signed a contract with them. Just after, I got a call from the original rental manager saying they could now accept cash - too little, too late. Despite asking for a refund, Cartrawler refused, citing their strict terms. This left me feeling scammed and robbed, as they kept the entire amount for a car I never used. Very disappointing and frustrating experience.

    I had a terrible experience with my car rental. Our flight got delayed and we were rebooked on another one, but there was no way to update this info through the 'manage booking' feature. It just kept resetting to the original flight. No contact number available either, which made it impossible to inform anyone. When we finally got the number from the rental agency, we were already considered a no-show because we were late. The car was gone, and even though we could have picked up a car two days later, our contract was locked. This meant the rental agency couldn't help us at all. And guess what? Cartrawler kept all the money! Usually, you'd just lose a deposit, but not the whole amount. Their customer service was awful, just a rude reply on the phone and email, suggesting we make a new booking. Seriously? Save yourself the trouble and avoid them.

    I had a car rental experience with Car Trawler through Wizz Air on December 26, 2024, and it was a total disaster. I booked a Volkswagen Jetta, but when I arrived, they handed me a lower-quality Chinese car instead. The staff later told me they always do this, which felt really shady. Then, they wouldn't accept my UAE driving license. Even after showing my Australian license and passport, they still refused my rental. None of this was mentioned before, leading to a lot of confusion and delays. To top it off, they rejected my bank card and demanded a 3000 AED deposit instead of 1500 AED. Plus, I had to pay an extra 779 AED for insurance. None of these hidden costs were clear upfront, which left me financially strained. Overall, this messed up the start of my holiday, causing major stress and ruining my trip with my daughter.

We booked a car through Emirates and CarTrawler, but when we got to the rental office, they refused to accept our Spanish bank cards, both credit and debit! The staff there said we had to pay an extra $200 to use our cards, which felt like a total scam. We immediately contacted CarTrawler, and they said they'd open a case and review it within 20 working days. It's been almost a month, and still no refund! Luckily, my bank helped me with a chargeback. Only after that did someone from the company reach out to ask what happened. Their customer service was terrible and left us feeling cheated. I’ll be filing a claim with the European trade department and warning everyone on social media to avoid this company. They are absolute fraudsters!

They stuck to their policy of needing 24 hours’ notice for any changes, which was frustrating. Honestly, it's better to book directly with the service provider to avoid this hassle. TAP, you need to step up—if you're canceling flights, your associated services should accommodate the changes. Otherwise, what's the point?
