I scheduled an appointment to have a security bulb camera installed, and it turned into a series of disappointments with this company. Initially, the first appointment was rescheduled, and the technician informed me just 45 minutes before the set time that he had a more crucial task, pushing the installation to the next day. To add to the frustration, the billing discrepancy was evident on the appointment confirmation. Despite their website advertising a $99.00 installation fee, the confirmation reflected a total charge of $139.32. The breakdown showed $129.00 for the service, with "0" taxes, and an additional $10.32 labeled as "safety and support fees." Their attempt to justify this as insurance and support was unconvincing. This company seems to operate on a "bait and switch" strategy, aiming to lure customers into memberships, synonymous with future subscription revenues. During the interaction, they encouraged me to sign up for an annual membership costing $149.00 for the "REMOTE" plan, accompanied by a monthly fee of $19.95 and a hefty $69.95 in-home fee, totaling a staggering $459.30. Their lack of transparency, coupled with misleading pricing tactics, is disconcerting. It appears that clarity is not a forte for both their website and support department, leaving customers vulnerable to unexpected charges. Caution is advised, and I would recommend steering clear of this company.

I regret paying for this service. In July, I bought a TV from Walmart with a wall mount installation. The TV was delivered, but the service went bad from there. I got a text from a tech saying they'd arrive the next morning at 9am. The next day, another text came, canceling the visit with no reason given. When I called Hello Tech, they said no techs were available and none would be coming soon. I asked who the tech was, but they couldn't tell me. I then called Walmart for a refund since the service was not done, and was told Hello Tech would need to refund me. Calls between the two companies went on for weeks. I finally got a response, only to learn Hello Tech said it would take 4 to 6 weeks to get a refund from August 1st. Based on reviews, I doubt that will happen. Walmart should drop this company or risk losing many loyal customers. I agree with others; they are a bunch of crooks.

My experience with this company has been quite disappointing. I've scheduled appointments three times, and each time, the technicians failed to show up. Whenever I reach out to them, they just give me excuses and ask for another appointment time, only to repeat the same cycle of no-shows. They claim to offer same-day service, but that's far from the truth. Additionally, they never installed the alarm system as promised. Honestly, I would suggest looking elsewhere to save yourself from this hassle.

However, I received a disheartening message stating they couldn't allocate a technician for assistance. To add to the frustration, I am being charged a monthly fee of $20 for a service that remains elusive, as they seem unwilling to fulfill their commitment. I was assured that the service could be completed on the same day, with a technician ready before payment. However, after paying and patiently waiting for 7 hours, I was informed that they were still in search of a technician. To make matters worse, a phone representative candidly admitted that no one would be coming that day. If you're in need of a swift resolution, I would strongly advise seeking assistance elsewhere, as this could easily be your experience too.

This was the third time Brian has came to my home to fix my home theater. This was the second time I requested him specifically based on outstanding prior service. Brian has in depth knowledge of everything AV. I'm always amazed at his speed of going through setups, troubleshooting, knowledge of brand devices, and thoroughness to complete the job. He never seems rushed, or in a hurry to call the job "complete". I'm so happy to have found HelloTech.

Lamont was really good at what he did. He knew a lot about what he was doing. He came when he said he would and called before. He was nice to talk to, worked quickly, and cleaned up when he finished. The TV mount is great now. I'd tell others to call him for sure.
