    We've had three lessons so far and I enjoy the way my granddaughter and Mia her teacher work together. She supports Kylie and helps her learn. It's a nice way to build confidence. I also like all of the fun tools that are being used.

    I’ve been using this tutoring

    I’ve been using this tutoring service for a while, and there are some things I really appreciate. The flexibility is great; having access to a tutor seven days a week from 6am to 9pm is just amazing. My kid loves having different tutors for Math and ELA because they use different styles that really help her learn. Plus, the tutors are mostly encouraging and friendly, which is a nice change from school. They also have backup content for each grade, which is super helpful. But there are some downsides. The automatic scheduling drives me nuts. I often find sessions booked that I didn’t agree to, and canceling them is a hassle. Communication is mostly through WhatsApp, and it feels like there's a lack of coordination between messages and calls. Sometimes sessions are shorter than promised, or they get canceled without notice. Plus, technical issues with audio and video are frequent, eating into the session time.

    I don't believe this service is meant for kids with ADHD at all. The video parts might be useful, but the tutors don't seem to focus on ADHD kids that I can see. Our tutor, while really nice, is in another country and speaks English fluently but has a strong accent. If it was someone my child could connect with better, he might be more interested. Also, it's clear the tutor is at home, and a family member is making loud noises in the background. I will say the tutor is very patient. I don’t blame the tutor. However, it was not what I thought I was paying for based on the ads. We will complete our three months and then try something else. I do think the one-on-one is helpful.

    I tried out a demo call with this tutoring service, and it started off really well. The tutor was great—super patient and friendly, made the whole experience enjoyable. But then the follow-up calls started coming in, one after another, and they were just way too pushy. I mentioned I was exploring other options and wasn't ready to decide yet. But the guy on the phone kept talking about "compromising." Compromise? On something as important as my child's education? No way! That aggressive sales approach really put me off, and now I'm definitely not going ahead with this program. It’s a shame because the tutor was actually pretty good, but the hard sell just ruined it for me.

    We've been really happy with the progress Emma's making in maths thanks to your help. She actually looks forward to the lessons, which is a big win in itself! Seeing how she's improving, we're thinking it's time to get her little sister on board too, but this time for reading and writing. The way you teach seems to really click with Emma, and we're hoping her sister will have the same experience.     I was really hoping this service would be great for my child with ADHD, but it didn’t quite hit the mark. The video lessons seemed useful, but the tutors didn’t seem specialized in ADHD. Our tutor, though very kind and patient, had a strong accent and was clearly calling from home, with background noise from family members. My child just couldn’t connect. The one-on-one aspect is good, but it wasn’t what I expected from the ads. We’re finishing up our three-month subscription, but I think we'll look for something more tailored to my kid's needs. It’s not the tutor's fault, just not the right fit for us.

    I walked into the class

    I walked into the class with high hopes, you know, ready to dive in and learn. The instructor was friendly enough, but, oh boy, communication was a bit of a rollercoaster. Sometimes I was scratching my head, trying to figure out what was being said. It's like, learning's hard when you're busy decoding language instead of focusing on the topic. I mean, the lessons were not terrible, don't get me wrong. But next time, I guess having someone who speaks native English would be better. Just makes the whole thing smoother, you know? Anyway, I did pick up some things, but it was kinda challenging at times.

    I was pretty excited to check out this program for a child I know who could really use a break. The process of getting information wasn't too bad, but the price caught me off guard. It was way higher than what the advertisement promised. Honestly, if I'd known it was gonna be so expensive, I wouldn't have bothered reaching out. It's a bit frustrating because I'm trying to find something affordable for someone who doesn't have a lot of options. I just wish the pricing was clearer from the start, would've saved us all some time. Anyway, still on the lookout for a program that fits the budget.

    I really like the teachers

    I really like the teachers at Brighterly; they’re awesome and make learning fun. But, man, the software's kinda old-school and doesn't really help much with homework. We've had a few classes start late because the website just decides to crash. And because Brighterly's not in the US, they sometimes call or text super early, like before 6am! Plus, they send a ton of promo texts, which can get really annoying. Trying to reach customer service is a bit of a pain, too. Calling doesn’t seem to work, so I hit them up on WhatsApp instead. But it usually takes them a few hours to get back to me.

    Our tutor was awesome, really knew how to connect and make learning fun. But dealing with the constant calls and texts to schedule classes was a bit much. I paused my account, but they still charged me for the month. Brighterly admitted it was a mistake, yet I’m still waiting on my refund. To make things worse, classes keep getting scheduled automatically. If I don't cancel them one by one, I'm worried I'll never see my money back. Customer support was all over me when I was setting up classes, but now they've disappeared. Feeling pretty frustrated with the whole situation.

    We've been having some challenges with my son's math tutoring. There's this language barrier that makes it tough for him to really get what the tutor's saying. She hasn't quite figured out the best way to teach him, and her method with the math tree feels outdated since schools don't really use that anymore. It's just not clicking with him, and it's making math more frustrating than it needs to be. On the bright side, the guy who did our evaluation was really great, so that was a plus.     I signed my son up for Brighterly because I wanted to help him catch up on his reading skills. I heard they had a great program, so I was hopeful. Well, they sure do give him plenty of math to work on, and it's quite advanced, which is nice if math was what I was worried about! But I'm actually not seeing much focus on his reading, which is the whole reason we joined. It's a bit frustrating because I expected more balance between subjects. I wish they would deliver on what they advertise in terms of reading. Maybe it's just not the right fit for his needs right now.

    I signed my daughter up for tutoring because it was supposed to be great for kids with ADHD, but it was a total letdown. Classes are just 45 minutes, not an hour like they say. The tutors are from the Philippines, and you end up paying the same as you would for a US tutor. I thought they’d have special techniques for ADHD, but nope. If my daughter didn’t get something, they just gave her the answer instead of showing her how to solve it. She’s in 4th grade and had a two-page homework, but the tutor never finished it. She always ended up with half of it still undone. Definitely not worth the money. Look for a better option.

    My little guy just wrapped up kindergarten and is gearing up for 1st grade. He's picking up reading and can make sense of some words. We had a meeting with Zen, who, after giving him some tough words, just called it off. Your site promises that Brighterly's reading programs align with kids' grade levels and learning speeds, focusing on literacy skills like vocabulary and story analysis. Maybe they should've paired us with someone familiar with our curriculum instead of someone too advanced. This was not the way to win over customers and felt quite disrespectful. I can't recommend this program based on our experience.

    We booked a lesson for my son's first class, and it was supposed to be a special day. But when the time came, the teacher didn't even show up. No call, no message, nothing.
