Based on your feedback, Flywire's response to a fraudulent transaction is disappointing. Despite providing evidence of criminal activity, the company seems unwilling to take decisive action to address the issue. Instead, their advice to simply wait and see if the transaction bounces is inadequate. Protecting the anonymity of criminals is concerning and undermines trust in the company. It's fortunate that your bank was able to intervene and block the unauthorized transaction. Considering Flywire's handling of this situation, I would caution others to be wary of using their services.

Navigating the service with a South African account proved challenging, especially with payment issues to the local Citibank account remaining unexplained. However, finding an alternative by transferring funds to my NZ bank account and paying the institution directly proved more cost-effective than the credit card payment option. Improved accessibility and clearer payment processes would greatly enhance the overall experience for users in South Africa.

Gebühren sind zu hoch und intransparent

Die Gebühren für einen Geldtransfer nach US sind viel zu hoch und es ist nicht klar was der Wechselkurs ist und was Gebühren. Ich hatte eine lange Diskussion mit dem Flywire-Support aber sie waren zu keinem Zeitpunkt bereit mir die Details zu geben. Flywire hat ja die Daten welcher Wechselkurs angewendet wurde und wie hoch die Gebühren sind. Eine wirklich sehr schlechte Erfahrung, die ich nie wieder machen werde. Sehr unfair und total intransparent.

I paid my university fees through Flywire. I submitted everything on Friday, but my payment is still on hold. They told me it's because the bank needs to verify some details like my full legal name and date of birth. However, it's now Thursday and my payment is still on hold. Flywire said they don't know when the bank will give confirmation. I'm really disappointed with this service.

Overall, the experience is quite good. Only one issue I faced is that when I mentioned your account Iban number it's not showing the same name as Flywire but instantly appearing some other name. Hope you can check the same with your local bank in UAE.
